Behind the Splash is an independent fan-operated publication. We aim to provide accurate, useful and clearly presented coverage of SeaWorld parks and related topics.
Confirmed News
When information comes directly from SeaWorld, United Parks & Resorts, an official spokesperson, public filing or another authoritative source, we identify it as confirmed information.
Original Reporting
Behind the Splash may report information gathered through our own observations, research, public records, interviews or trusted sources. We distinguish original reporting from official announcements whenever that distinction is important.
Developing Stories
Some stories evolve quickly. Articles marked Developing may be updated as additional information becomes available. Significant updates should be noted within the story.
Sources & Unconfirmed Information
We do not publish every rumor we hear. Information from unofficial or confidential sources is evaluated based on credibility, corroboration and newsworthiness before publication. When important details have not been officially confirmed, we make that clear to readers.
Opinion & Analysis
Reviews, commentary, predictions and analysis represent the views of the individual author and should be identified accordingly.
Corrections
If we publish inaccurate information, we want to correct it. Material corrections should be made promptly and, when appropriate, accompanied by a note explaining what was changed.
Contributors
