SeaWorld Orlando is introducing a sinister new face to Howl-O-Scream in 2026: Pestilence, a character closely connected to returning icon Havoc.
Long before becoming a symbol of decay and infection, Pestilence traveled alongside Havoc during his rise. But after Havoc abandoned her and went on to establish his reign over Howl-O-Scream Orlando, Pestilence disappeared into the shadows. Her transformation eventually led her to Nekrosis, a fishing town seemingly trapped in 1999, where she discovered the full extent of her ability to spread corruption through memories, emotions, and remnants of the past.
For this year’s Howl-O-Scream, guests will enter the event through Nekrosis and become unwitting carriers of Pestilence’s infection as the rot spreads throughout the park. But her ultimate target isn’t the guests…it’s Havoc. SeaWorld says her story ultimately leads toward Throttle, where the man who left her behind may finally have to confront his past.
