While visiting the park on September 6, we noticed that SEAQuest had some new posters we hadn’t seen before.
What Could SEAQuest at SeaWorld Orlando Have in Store?
The new artwork gives us another clue about what SEAQuest at SeaWorld Orlando could have in store. One poster prominently features a shark, making us wonder whether the dark ride could include some scarier or more intense underwater encounters.
That’s only speculation for now. Previously released SEAQuest concept art has shown a much broader underwater environment featuring humpback whales, manta rays and jellyfish.
SEAQuest will use Vekoma’s new suspended dark ride system, with guests riding in submersible-style vehicles suspended from the track above. The vehicles are capable of rotating 360 degrees and swinging as they travel through the attraction.
We’re excited to see what SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep ultimately has to offer when it opens at SeaWorld Orlando. Beyond adding a completely different type of attraction to the park’s lineup, it’ll also be a welcome addition on those Florida afternoons when lightning and thunderstorms temporarily shut down many of SeaWorld’s outdoor rides.
