SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep is now targeting a 2027 opening at SeaWorld Orlando, according to Attractions Magazine. The publication reports that a SeaWorld representative confirmed the new year, moving the suspended dark ride beyond its originally announced 2026 window. A specific opening date has not been announced.
SeaWorld’s official attraction page describes a family adventure aboard a submersible, taking riders through undersea environments. The page currently lists SEAQuest as coming soon.
Could SEAQuest appear at IAAPA Expo 2026?
With IAAPA Expo 2026 coming to Orlando November 16–20, there could be another opportunity to learn more. According to IAAPA’s official press conference schedule, United Parks & Resorts’ Design & Engineering team will present on Wednesday, November 18, from 11:30 a.m. to noon on the Innovation Stage.
The team plans to preview upcoming attractions and experiences across its parks, introduce some of the people behind those projects, and share dedicated social channels and a new behind-the-scenes series.
Could SEAQuest be among the attractions shown? The presentation’s published description does not name the ride, so an appearance remains a possibility rather than a confirmed announcement. For now, the news is the 2027 target reported by Attractions Magazine; whether IAAPA brings a closer look is still an open question.
